What is Reiki:

What is Reiki and how will it benefit you?  Reiki is a natural healing process that anyone can benefit from in the normal course of their life and may bring help and a source of comfort to people suffering from a range of conditions.  Reiki is universal life energy that is in all living things.  The practitioner can access this life force energy and directs the flow of Reiki into the recipient to help clear energy blockages in the body. It will sooth and relax the recipient plus help fuel the body’s natural healing process.  Practitioners do not diagnose, heal or cure a recipient.  They simply offer a space to allow the body to relax and release negative/blocked energy.  


As a natural form of healing, Reiki can support and enhance other forms of treatment, including conventional medical treatments, and other alternative or complementary therapies.  Reiki is not affiliated with any religion or dogma and should not be regarded as such.  It is a spiritual holistic practice that aides the mind, body and spirit.


How is it Administered:

Recipients remain fully clothed and lay on a massage table or sits in a chair.  Reiki is nonintrusive, there is no pressure, massage or manipulation.  The practitioner will gently place their hands on various positions of the body or hovers their hands just over the recipient’s body. The recipient doesn’t need to make any effort to receive Reiki they simple relax.  Reiki has its own awareness and intelligence and will direct itself to where the recipient needs it most.   


The Effects:

Most people achieve a deep state of relaxation during a treatment, which allows physical, mental, or emotional stress to leave the body, reestablishing equilibrium and a feeling of well-being. Each person has their own experience.  It is difficult to explain various healing modalities so we as practitioners say just “experience it” for yourself and we can go from there.
